The Historical Cost Report is designed to show opening and closing balances at cost price. This report is designed to assist with balance sheet preparation.

The report also provides the market value at balance date to supplement the cost price data required in the balance sheet.

The closing market value column gives you a comparison between cost and market value Clicking on a column heading will sort the report by the column of your choice. You can optionally choose to include brokerage as part of the historical cost. The report shows all purchases and sales made during the period, valued at the cost price. Choose to run the Historical Cost Report over the time period of your choice. By default the report shows the current financial year. You can optionally choose to include brokerage as part of the historical cost.
