Importing Your Data
Sharesight makes it easy to import your trading data. Once your share trades have been imported, Sharesight automatically keeps your share holdings up to date by automatically calculating and recording dividend payments, as well as adjustments such as share splits, consolidations and name changes.
Emailing Contract Notes to Sharesight
Sharesight can import trades from the PDF contact note that your broker sends you via email. Simply forward the contract note to the email address that we create for your portfolio and the trade will be automatically recorded into your Sharesight portfolio. Better yet, instruct your broker to send a copy of the contract note directly to your portfolio’s email address so your portfolio is automatically updated each time you trade.
Uploading CSV Files
Sharesight provides a versatile file upload utility so that you can easily import your trading history. All you need to do is get your data into a spread sheet with a separate row for each trade, then save the file in CSV format and upload to Sharesight.
Sharesight Connect
Sharesight Connect is a new service that allows you to electronically link your broker share trading account to your Sharesight portfolio. Sharesight Connect is currently supported by CMC Markets Stockbroking in Australia and Direct Broking Limited in New Zealand. More brokers are coming soon, watch this space!
